Couples Counseling for Communication
Do you and your partner struggle to communicate with each other?
Your partner shuts down
You notice your partner shuts down when you try to talk to them. This cycle of communication leaves you stuck. You feel like they don’t care about the marriage, and you feel frustrated and alone in your relationship. You try your best to talk to them, which often leads to confusion, hopelessness, and misunderstanding.
“ We’ve talked about this already”
You feel alone in your marriage
You don’t know if this relationship will last, and you want things to change. You may see your partner as getting defensive. You feel anxious and lonely when they walk away. You don’t know how to approach them, and when you do, they walk away or don’t say anything. You’re tired of the cycle and want things to be better.
“We are at a crossroads- I’m afraid we’ll end up divorced.”

How many therapy sessions per week?

What to expect from couples therapy
You can expect your therapist to provide compassion and instill healthy accountability. Often, poor communication skills are simply rooted in the fact that we were not taught how to express emotions, resolve conflicts, or ask for what we need. Your couples therapist can model skills and provide tools to communicate more effectively so you can get more of what you want from your partner.
